It is with the greatest of pleasure that we present our 100th release. A remix of Eudaimonia’s Uroboros is befitting for the occasion, a collaboration between Eudaimonia, label founder Nick Coleman and Düsseldorf singer Julika Elizabeth.

The vocal session from Julika, recorded by the legendary German engineer Peter Krick, was to be the catalyst and inspiration for Coleman’s remix. Recorded in one takes, Julika lay down every part in an hour, without a single retake. Her aura and energy in the session was truly captivating, powerful & transcendental 🤯The Hindu mantra “Om Namah Shivaya” she performs is a popular passage to further know and understand your own self.

Eudaimonia’s Uroboros is an eternal cycle and ultimately the cause of this chain of events. His remix parallels a similar philosophical after thought, the process of going back around, conjuring a new interpretation to further know and understand oneself.

Our last release for the year ’Skyline’ is the second single from label founder Nick Coleman’s forthcoming live album. The album is the result of two years pre-production, research, development and innovation at the forefront of electronic music technology and live performance.

“As part of my live performance I developed a method of playing electronic sounds using the violin. Skyline was the first song where I was able to perform and record all melodies live. Once I have both hands on the violin it becomes difficult to control almost all aspects of a song. For the time being I am using pedals, body movements and gestures to control sound parameters (for example the filter on the acid arpeggiator). In the not so distant future these parameters will be controlled by brainwaves. When I want the filter to open up, I will think the action and it will happen” – Nick Coleman

The second single ‘Skyline’ is out now with the album to be released the 22nd January, 2021.

Label founder Nick Coleman’s forthcoming album is the result of two years pre-production, research, development and innovation at the forefront of electronic music technology and live performance.

In 2017 Coleman programmed software enabling him to play synthesisers and iOS instruments using the violin, becoming the first violinist in the world to achieve this. Pioneering synthesiser makers Moog and Elektron invited Coleman to beta test their software and iOS synths, as he forges ahead, re-defining the possibilities of electronic music and live performance.

One of the most popular waterfalls in the Great Otways National Park, the Erskine Falls plunges 30 metres into the lush tree-fern gully of the Erskine River. It is a nine-kilometre drive from Lorne. The 7.5-kilometre Erskine River Track leads from the falls to Lorne along the river, passing Straw Falls and Splitter Falls.

For Will, a life of music is a life lived in accordance with the principles of eudaimonia: fulfilment, intensity, working tirelessly to create something that is beautiful and intrinsically valuable. His debut album is a mature, emotionally intense body of work, indicative of an artist whose musical journey and music will both challenge and fulfil himself and ultimately the people he connects with.

Never wavering in his mission to push song and dance beyond the conventions of genre, Mike’s taste is broad and doesn’t stick to one sound. His music takes on otherworldly tones and textures, bending mood and energy, with both drive and melody.

Deep and emotive at the core, Feelin’ Good & Keep Dreamin’ meander through states of contemplation, determination and euphoria. Unafraid to blur his own boundaries, Mike’s bold march towards the ultimate experience is evident in this wonderfully written and produced two track EP, delivering what we think is his most exciting, compelling and defining release to date. Mount Mike 2020, watch his space.

The Charm immediately conjures a familiar sense of hypnotic intensity and energy. Its catchy rhythmic lead synth and intriguing female vocal tell the story of the night. A well executed arrangement ensures a wave of appreciation over the chordal exposition before dropping back into the serious body moving elements.

It feels like you are at an open air festival or a half moon jungle party on Koh Phangan as birds, toms and shakers set the mood for Two Good. The swell of emotion rises quickly into a thematic interplay as Bells and Acid exchange the lead Motiv role. As the track builds momentum a sense of freedom and good will washes over and reminds us that life is indeed too good 😉 Much love MM xx
