Suckmusic

Although a NZ native, like all good things from the land of the long white cloud Australians have been more than happy to claim Heath Renata as their own. He’s made his mark on the Melbourne club and festival circuit, holding down regular appearances at hotspots like Korova Milk Bar, Sorry Grandma and Room680, as well as featuring at festivals like Summadayze and Winter Sound System.

Heath’s productions continue to develop and impress. Check out his dope ass dubstep remix of Silversix’s Murder at Midnite. TUFF! Nice to see a producer stepping out of the 4/4 realm and giving Melbourne club goers a taste of something a bit different.

Suckmusic in association with Thick as thieves present: Round Table Knights @ Revolver Upstairs Sunday night 12.12.2010.

2010 was a phenomenal year for the Swiss duo with two stellar EPs in Calypso and Cut To The Top both released to huge acclaim alongside an impressive string of remixes culminating in their sensational remix of Tensnake’s Coma Cat, released on Defected in September.

The mix will be available for download in the future so keep an eye out. Big thanks to the guys for letting us record and post the mix.

It has become standard in Melbourne after the big events, the “Unofficial” afterparty. TFU can lay fair claim to pioneering this trend, and it is no surprise that these parties are renowned for being lots of fun and EXTREMELY loose. Riback recorded his set to a packed TFU after Melbourne Stereosonic festival. It was a banging party!

Orkestrated (Adam Bartas & Dean Paps) presented Suckmusic with Club Talk. A tough, driving track, a sound & attitude very popular with club goers atm. The vocals are very suburban, raw and rough. If you don’t like it, we don’t really care, we’re having fun kind of thing. Dean Del’s remix is a stripped back version of the original, while John Baptiste gives us a very nice alternative version of club affairs! Exclusive to Beatport.

We are officially launching our website & record label. The Suckmusic crew will be celebrating & letting loose, so come down and join the fun.

Doors open @ 10pm. Suckmusic begins at 1am in the front room.
Use the Suckmusic Guestlist ($6 before midnight, $12 after midnight).

In October we did 3 recordings of Boogs’s Sunday 8am-11am Revolver set. A month later Boogs has sent us this set, a recording we had done the week before. Given that this has been sent to us for posting by the man himself, we believe that this part 1 & 2 and the first recording capture the essence of Boogs Sunday 8am-11am @ Revolver (2010). Not really too much of a surprise it was recorded on the 10.10.10! Enjoy x
