The Black Dog Shuffle

Rooting Around

This 2004 white label “bootleg” record was a very popular release in Melbourne. It also made its mark internationally, "The Black Dog Shuffle" (T-Rek) was featured on Annie Mac’s Mash Up program on BBC Radio 1, and the B Side 'Rooting Around" (Bionikworld & Nick Coleman ) was charted number 1 by German DJ/Producer heavyweight Mogaui.

Without A Cause - John Baptiste

Previously prime minister and part time astronaut...but found the responsibility wasn’t worth the money. Went on to join the circus as one of those guys who repair fairy floss machines. Met the love my life, who ended up leaving me and taking all of my astronauting money. Began a VHS servicing company, but went out of business when DVD was introduced. Got over it all and went to Nepal to become a sherper, met a guy in the mountains who introduced me to music and drumming. Started a band called ' these mountains drain it'.

After our lead guitarist died from a freak ham sandwich incident, I went back home. Started Producing tech house and playing at clubs.Got signed to Vinyl Pusher/generation records... thats about it so far. thanks for your support. John Baptiste

All of his releases are available @ beatport.com so as always, go and buy the track if you play out in the clubzs. Rulezs

Momo & Trav- Slap The Bass (Original Mix)

At just 19 years old Melbourne producers Momo & Trav are pumping out some wicked techno, tech house, minimal tech, or as we like to call it, dance music. It seems that TFU is a breeding ground for Melbourne dance music producers, and it is no surprise that these guys have a weekly residency, a set that often consists entirely of original music. With releases coming out on iconic label Bush Records, and many fine productions on Fanfare Records, the future looks promising for these hard working young talents.

Gangsta Walk - T-Rek Remix

T-Rek has kindly thrown us a remix of his. This one has been around a while but still rocks the clubs.

Turn It Down! (Original Mix) - Silversix

Ben aka ‘Silversix’ is a young Electronic Music Producer & DJ from Melbourne, Australia. He is quickly making a name for himself and his productions can be heard in all the right places around town. This track is signed to T-Rek's label Freak Show Disco. If you play the track out, go to Beatport, buy the wave file & support the artist.

On The Side - Basin Artesian

Basin Artesian are Shaun Baker and Corey White. These guys are producing some serious music, experimenting with Techno, Tech House, Electro and Minimal elements. If you like it a bit harder and bit darker, these boys wont disappoint. Keep an eye out for some of their tekkers productions...A+

Big Big Respect - Benson

Benson is a young dj/producer from Sydney. His remixes of Faces of Meth & Out My Bitch were first class so we hassled him to give us an original.

ThisCityILove - Nick Coleman

ThisCityILove is Nick Coleman's second release, and the premier release on his new label definitionof. South African voices, Detroit rhythms and Berlin strings reflect the unique appreciation Melbourne has for all music styles. The track instantly captured the attention of the Techno astute including DJ Hell on his recent tour. He immediately licensed the track to his Berlin label International DeeJay Gigolos. It is the opening track of disc 2 on the upcoming International DeeJay Gigolos CD 12, scheduled for release on June 15th, 2010.
