John Baptiste

John baptiste’s musical influences began with at an early age from his father passing on his old vinyls and love for music. with groups including Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath and more, his passion for music in all its forms grew and grew.

At early age of thirteen, he picked up his first pair of drumsticks, and begun taking lessons.  After many years of practice, and complaints from neighbours, he formed an all original heavy metal band with two mates in 2003 named ‘Treachery’.
With a passion for all genres of music, and influences along the way, in 2005 he decided to expand his musical creativity and began producing house music and Dj’ing. After many months of spinning vinyls in his bedroom and long studio sessions, he set out to take on Melbourne’s clubs. From then on John has played and held residencies at some of Melbourne’s most prestigious venues playing a smooth blend of tech house, minimal techno and deep house.
His debut single was released in 2007 named ‘Dodge The Morse’ through generation records, and has also featured releases through Vinyl Pusher, Freakshow Disco Productions, Suckmusic, Fan Fare and more. John continues to write music and conduct experimental studio sessions with a style he would call ‘Break Tech House’, so stay tuned..
