It remained in the ARIA top 50 Club Charts for a staggering 37 weeks peaking at number 5.

None other than Carl Cox championed F.O.M in 2008 and introduced it onto the international stage, where it electrified partygoers at major dance festivals in the U.S, Europe and Asia.

The track appears on the Ministry Of Sound Maximum Extreme Bass Compilation which to date has sold 60,000 copies.

Nick’s second release “ThisCityILove” instantly captured the attention of DJ Hell on his recent tour, who immediately licensed the track to his Berlin label International DeeJay Gigolos. It is the opening track of disc 2 on IDG CD 12, which was released on June 15th, 2010.

In 2011 Coleman has stepped up his remix duties for releases on Suckmusic. His remix of Silversix’s ‘Murder At Midnite‘ was featured on The 2 Bears (Joe Goddard, the production warp drive from pop starship Hot Chip and Raf Daddy) radio program on ministryofsound.com.

As a DJ, Nick tours Australia and is renowned for his highly energetic and entertaining DJ sets. A resident for 6 years at iconic Melbourne club TFU, Nick has played and held residencies at many of Melbourne’s most successful and longest running clubs including The Lounge, Revolver, Metro, Motel, Tramp & Circus.

September 2011, Nick Coleman, Ryan Riback & Rachel Elberg, signed an album deal with record label Sweat It Out under the band name Northbrook.

Northbrooks’ first single Move Your Body hit #9 in the ARIA Top 50 Club Charts. The track achieved high rotation on Nova Radio and the video clip has featured on both Channel V & Rage.

Boogs

Boogs was born in Melbourne Australia and grew up on an appetite of hip-hop and electro; buying records from the age of ten years old.

His love for music then drove him towards more electronic sounds during the early nineties. After meeting Voiteck who introduced him to underground techno, his vision for the future was sealed.

Buying equipment to set up his studio he also began his dj career spinning everything from jazz/funk, break beats to minimal techno/electro and house.

The diverse nature of his style led to quick recognition with residencies at some of Melbourne’s most cutting edge clubs (Lounge, Revolver) moving on to raves and smaller underground parties.

When Truck Musik was established in late 1995, Boogs joined forces with Voiteck to start their own club night called Bedroom Research to pursue what they saw as the future of music. Although it only ran for 8 months they developed their own audience and sound enabling an output for their unique style.

In the late nineties they decided to take their sound to the world embarking on a 3-month tour of the U.S.A and Canada playing in such cities as Chicago, Detroit, L.A., San Francisco, Toronto and Hamilton.

Upon returning to Melbourne Boogs started his own club night Saturdays @ Lounge where the music policy was robot soul. In its first year the club played host to internationals such as: Common Factor, Herbert, I-Cube, Gilb’r, Adam Freeland, Freq Nasty and American DMC Champ P-Trix. Boogs held this residency for a legendary 13 years only recently finishing up as the Lounge celebrated it’s 20th Birthday.

Then defying normal sleeping patterns & exhaustion limits, it’s straight onto Sundays @ Revolver, for a double Boogs whammy; 4 hours in the morning & 4 hours again later that night; his residency since 2001. He has brought a new vibe and style to the recovery set and often you will find it’s “Full House” when he is on the decks whether it be 11am or 11pm! Revolver Sundays is now an institution and you haven’t really been out unless you have ended up here to greet the day!

Melbourne street press labelled Boogs the “Local Blow Up of 2002” and the The Age Newspaper has profiled Boogs as the hippest & hottest DJ in Melbourne. He was polled as #22 in the first Technics inthemix50 – The Australian Top 50 DJ Poll 2004 & powered his way up to #12 in 2005.

In 2006, even despite his legendary lack of self-promotion, Boogs held onto the #12 spot of Australia’s most popular DJs once again! He has featured in the top 20 in 2007/2008/2009 ITM50 polls and is considered to be in one of the top 5 DJ’s in Victoria.

2005 also saw the launch of Boogs first mix cd release ITM50 a double dose with Illya from Sydney. A great opportunity for Boogs to profile some of his old fav’s as well as his usual cutting edge choices. This was extremely well received and in 2007 Boogs was approached by Vinyl Pusher to mix a disc of the Vinyl Pusher Pure compilation. This mix cd is the highest selling compilation released by the label to date.

Boogs has also tried his hand at the studio with production work. He has dabbled on a few remixes with T-Rek, with releases to come

He is building on his national profile with regular gigs in Sydney and Adelaide. Also some explosive nights in Brisbane, Gold Coast & Noosa have seen requests coming in for a fast return. Boogs is most impressive in a 3 deck set allowing him to mix it right up in his own ground breaking style that guarantees you will shake what ya mama gave ya…..

Based in the outskirts of Melbourne, the pair entered the world of production through mixing disco and hip hop layering the sounds from different genres over each other on a basic DJ setup.

Drawing influence from diverse artists, ranging from Portishead to Booka Shade, the pair began producing electronic music in 2007. Whilst still finding and developing their sound, they were fortunate to have a number of releases on various labels in 2011.

The duo are currently trying their hand at making a variety of different styles while remaining true to the fundamental house vibe and are looking forward to releasing their debut EP on prominent Melbourne label Suckmusic.

Ryan Riback

Tiesto, Steve Aoki, Joachim Garraud, Alex Gaudino, DJ Chuckie, TV Rock… just some of the names who have made some space in their record bags for the countless productions and remixes that are Ryan Riback.

He started his career inhis hometown of Johannesburg, South Africa at the tender age of 16, teaching himself to mix records after seeing a friends older brother djing in nightclubs. “My love for dance music started much earlier” says Riback, “My first real dance record that I owned was ‘2 Unlimited – No Limits’ when I was 10. I knew then that dance music was going to be a part of my life for a very long time”.

After moving to Melbourne, Australia in 2006, Ryan settled in and got straight to work. Building his name through countless remixes and originals, all gaining support from DJs at home and especially around the globe.

The international labels and artists have really started to grab onto Ryan’s sound, with remixes for the likes of Joachim Garraud, Nari & Milani, Don Diablo, DJ Dan, Tim Deluxe, JELO, Larry Tee, Magik Johnson, Analog People in a Digital World, Kaz James (Bodyrockers) & Macy Gray, MC Flipside, TV Rock & Zoe Badwi, Studio B, Sebastien Bennet and DJ Rockid.

His original works have also made a dent in global dance music. His most recent track “Make Me Go” reached #13 in the UK DMC Buzz Chart and #17 in the Music Week Cool Cuts Chart. Support from artists such as Groove Armada, ATFC, Funkagenda, Jerome Isma-Ae, Lys and Cicada.

“The Police” aka “The Fuzz” with Australian native Tom Piper received great global dj support and radio airtime from Kissy Sell Out (BBC Radio1), which saw it being picked up by mega label ‘Houseworks Germany’, home to acts such as Thomas Gold, Fuzzy Hair, Player & Remady and DJ Antoine.

But his biggest accomplisment so far was when the legendary Pete Tong (BBC Radio 1) featured his co production “In My Bedroom” with Italian producer J Nitti on his Bedroom Bedlam Show. This immediately got the attention of iconic house label Azuli Records who signed it straight away. The track has since been picked up by relatively new, but industry pioneers Hotfingers Records, run by Manuel de la Mare and Alex Kenji.

2011 has just begun, but be prepared… there is a lot more Ryan Riback still to come.

At early age of thirteen, he picked up his first pair of drumsticks, and begun taking lessons. After many years of practice, and complaints from neighbours, he formed an all original heavy metal band with two mates in 2003 named ‘Treachery’.
With a passion for all genres of music, and influences along the way, in 2005 he decided to expand his musical creativity and began producing house music and Dj’ing. After many months of spinning vinyls in his bedroom and long studio sessions, he set out to take on Melbourne’s clubs. From then on John has played and held residencies at some of Melbourne’s most prestigious venues playing a smooth blend of tech house, minimal techno and deep house.
His debut single was released in 2007 named ‘Dodge The Morse’ through generation records, and has also featured releases through Vinyl Pusher, Freakshow Disco Productions, Suckmusic, Fan Fare and more. John continues to write music and conduct experimental studio sessions with a style he would call ‘Break Tech House’, so stay tuned..

Stevie Mink

It’s been a turbulent build for Melbourne based DJ/Producer Stevie Mink. From what began as an interest in collecting vinyl & online synthesizer tutorials, soon turned into a growing obsession for dance music, and the launch of a career closely followed by thousands today.

Like many other young musicians starting out in the industry, Mink furthered his development by creating bootlegs & mashups, due to constant requests for re-edits from close friends. And in 2009, with his first ever remix ‘Regulate’ hitting the club scene, and a startling fan base beginning to form, Stevie Mink was born.

Since then, Mink has gone on to remix some of the biggest dance releases for Melbourne over the last few years, including T-Rek’s 2010 release ‘Out My Bitch’, reaching a staggering #34 on the Beatport Electro House chart, and ‘Devils Claps’, also reaching a solid 14th place on the Beatport Electro House chart.

Alongside his production, Stevie Mink has developed a strong DJ career. His support of international artists such as Phil Kieran, Hatiras, Spektre, Angy Kore, and Nadastrom, as well as recent gigs in both New Zealand and Queensland, proves it’s not just his production generating interest throughout Australia.

Wrapping up the last year, Mink has played at some of the biggest music festivals Melbourne has to offer such as Summerdayze, Future Music Festival, Winter Sound System, & Creamfields.

Kicking off 2011 has seen Mink’s remix of D12’s ‘Purple Pills’ featuring Melbourne singer Katt Niall hit airways nationally on Nova100’s ‘Novanation’, as well as the release of his first original track ‘Now Drop’, out on Suckmusic. With 2 new releases set to come out on Eric Powell’s Bush Records in 2011, things are continuing to move on & up.

And don’t let his few short years fool you, there’s no limit for the fresh faced music maestro, guaranteed to set new standards in the Australian music industry.
